About South England Exchange

South England Exchange Ltd. (SEE) was founded in 2015 by Juliet Cassells as a two-way cultural exchange organisation, committed to enabling young people to experience everyday life and education in different countries.

Alongside welcoming international students to the UK, SEE also designs and delivers outgoing exchange programmes and scholarship initiatives for students from the UK and Europe to countries including Brazílie, Argentina, France a Německo.
This reciprocal approach reflects SEE’s core belief that exchange is about perspective, immersion and mutual understanding, not one-way mobility.

Before founding SEE, Juliet Cassells spent many years managing one of the largest student exchange organisations in Germany. During this time, she enabled thousands of young people to experience state and private schools, as well as internships and au-pair placements, in countries including Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Japan and France. This background places SEE in a unique position to understand the realities, expectations and challenges faced by educational agencies and families worldwide.

Juliet’s professional experience also includes leadership roles as Head of an international school in Frankfurt and as a boarding school teacher, allowing SEE to combine deep educational insight with practical experience of student welfare, school culture and pastoral care.

South England International

SEE later founded South England International (SEI) to support international students through culturally relevant enrichment, including subjects such as British History and English Literature, alongside their school exchange experience. From the outset, priority was placed on students learning alongside British peers, while remaining connected to the academic expectations of their home countries.

SEI was developed in response to what students value most:
living in vibrant cities, taking part in school and community life, and having the freedom to explore the UK at weekends while being well supported.

Education at South England International and South England Exchange is regulated by the British Accreditation Council (BAC).

Homestay provision is regulated by the Association for the Education and Guardianship of International Students (AEGIS).
